Hop Bo Chinese in West Melbourne

It's been quite some time since we ordered from here and I'm not sure what exactly has happened with this place, but it has certainly changed for the bad. I do nit think we'll be ordering anymore after today. The egg rolls were extremely bad (either out of temp or just old and spoiled) I literally almost vomited! The chicken, both general tso and the sweet and sour were 90% breading and just tasted like cardboard, and the rice (both pork and beef fried) were yo bland. Finally, when I called back after almost vomiting the woman was rude and told me it was me. So I'll add the service was a zero in my book as well. All in all the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten in my life!

Food was terrible. There was no flavor in the pineapple chicken or the egg rolls. Husband’s generals chicken was ok. The meal was $26, verypricey for food that was not good at all. We love Chinese food but will pass on this place from now on. Gave it one star for the rice. How do you mess that up?

Great food , great price & great amount of food they give you!

There are times when It's DELICIOUS but more often it's just okay.

*Chinese Donuts* Approx: 20 mini's heavely Arrived within 3-4 minutes; Hot, fresh,f.& Heavenly with plenty of sugar Pssstt. I recommend eating these, or at least tasting a few😊, the moment they make contact with your hands..."Yummy Perfection!"

Decent food, but they need a better system to tell customers time food will be ready. Told 20 minutes on food, showed up 40 minutes after order, had to wait another 20 minutes. Rude kid at counter was indifferent to everybodys concern about having to wait so long when told completely inaccurate time to wait.

Love that food always hot and fresh staff very friendly good deals for the lunch crowd

Food is great, the fish fingers are my favorite.

Their food is good and you can watch them fixing your food ,their price could be a little lower ,but other than that it is ok.

We love ordering food here. The food is always great. The prices are very affordable. Just make sure to order ahead of time because this place is popular and things could take a while.

Food is good but the people... Make you wait for 20 minutes even when no one is there, and also they make wrong orders forcing you to wait twice

This is probably one of the worst decisions I’ve made when it comes to food. Me and my boyfriend decided to try hop bo in hopes of finding another good Chinese restaurant close by. The rice was absolutely TASTLESS. It lacked in flavor so much that I had to douse It in duck sauce. The chicken also creeped me out and had many questionable chewy parts. The egg role was the only thing I found okay. Not even the fortune cookie made sense.. We will not be returning!

Going here for 8 years best food around

I really like the food, it's very clean, the employees are very nice, and the wait time averages about 15 minutes. The prices are good, and the portions are rather large. A small order of a meat and white rice easily feeds an adult. I suggest ordering ahead so the order is ready when you arrive. There isn't much room to sit, (about 6 small tables) and it's usually too warm for my enjoyment. My family and I have eaten here for 10 years and highly recommend it! The parking lot is huge in a very nice and clean plaza. They hardly ever close, even on holidays!

The service is atrocious. Called order in at 7:20pm was told 30 minutes. An hour late still not ready. Told ten minutes tops. An hour and a half later still no food. It may taste good but they are rude and inconsistant. Will stick with Great Wall just a mile down the road.

Wish I could put no stars. Called the place asking if they deliver near me and the employee who picked up the phone responds, "No we never did ever." With a very rude attitude. Then once I respond ok thank you bye. The employee responds "goodbye" with attitude.

Best chinese food anywhere. Love this place and I hope it stays here. Such good dumplings!

Nice people, good food

Can’t tell you how good or bad the food is because they can’t seem to get it done. Food was ordered an hour and 15 minutes ago and we were told 30 minutes. Still no food. They already took the payment so kinda stuck waiting. First and LAST time ordering from here for sure.

One of my favorite Chinese restaurants to go to. They are clean and serve quickly and the food is really good and reasonably priced.

I love Chinese food but this restaurant experience was just ok. I didn’t like the sweet and sour chicken at all, the taste was just off. The wait time was very long as we had to go back to the car to wait on the meal to be finished. The employees However, were very friendly and respectful and the restaurant was clean. It wasn’t my best experience but it wasn’t the worst. I’ll definitely give them another try to see if it will be the same.

Food was pretty good took forever they said 15 minutes took 30 but I rather get good slow food than fast bad food

I think this might be the best Chinese food in our area... and trust me I've tried quite a few. My daughter is obsessed with crab rangoon so she will just sit there and eat those for dinner. She also likes plantain and sesame chicken... but they stop making the plantain 😞 oh poor sweet plantain bring it back lol

I've tried every place around my area and found this to be the best still ordering take out 6 yrs later wish they would get a delivery driver but other than that no complaints from me or my family

they tell you 20min and I wait 1.5hrs for food!

Love this restaurant very good Chinese food. Everything I had was great always very consistent quality at a reasonable price. I can easily feed 4 people on 25 bucks.

Food is always good but heads up their version of lo Mein is not the same as what the internet shows. It’s more like chop suey. Doe not include noodles very disappointed and the guy told me that’s lo Mein people get confused all the time. Also would be nice if they gave you a Togo number instead of calling out your phone number and maybe be a little more accurate with the wait time. I waited an hour not 30 minutes.

In my opinion, they're very clean & fresh. They lean more toward seafood.

Took 35 minutes to recieve my food. Just 1 order, not like I was ordering food for a big family. Spoken to a few ppl that have visited this location and all share the same opinion, very slow. Then the quantity wasn't much, really dissapointed, first and last time I visit this location.

Food was great. Seemed to take longer to get our order here. Ordered 3 egg rolls, only got two. Will go here again, like I said the food was great.

Best Chinese food In Palm Bay. Everything is so flavorful, no matter what we have ordered. Best egg rolls too! Always quick and hot. Love the Curry Chicken an Beef with pea pods. And they don't skimp on the servings. I tried the places closer to home, so bland, I could make it better myself. Thank you Hop Bo Chinese, you're our favorite forever. 😊🥠👍🥡❤

Best Chinese take out food around!

This little mom and pop restaurant is fantastic. I had a dish called mango chicken that was sooo good. Everything was prepared fresh while I waited. Boy was it worth the wait! It looks like a little hole in the wall take out place, but don't let that keep you from trying it. You would definitely be missing a fabulous meal. Go hungry because the portions are very generous!

Good Chinese food. Good service whether eating there or calling in and placing order. Check menu for specials and also free coupons regarding soups if you spend a certain amount. If you are searching for a great meal, the place to go is Hop Bo. Always a clean cheerful place with a menu that will take you a while to choose from...Lots of options but all very good. We always call for take out and never have to wait long before our meal is ready.

Price and great food

Not really into there style of cooking. If it's not real New York style Chinese, it's not that good to me.

Food was great. But order was not ready in 15 minutes it was more like 45 mins. Long wait for an order.

Great food....good portions.....better than most in the area.....

I cannot give this place any higher than a 1 star rating due to price gouging during days of preparation for hurricane Dorian. The food was good which is why it gets 1 star but not good enough to make it ok to take advantage of people. I will never visit this establishment again.
